James R. Angell, managing partner of Kennedy Berkley Yarnevich & Williamson, Chtd. announces the promotion of business and finance attorney John F. Thompson, II from attorney to attorney shareholder.
Thompson joined Kennedy Berkley in 2011 as an associate attorney working in corporate law and in 2013 he moved to represent Kennedy Berkley as they opened the Olathe, Kansas branch, serving the firms' clients in the Kansas City area.
“Thompson has been an integral part of the firm for nearly half a decade, starting as an associate then representing Kennedy Berkley in the opening of the Olathe branch,” Angell said. “It is a great privilege for our firm to have him step into more of a formal leadership role in our growing practice.”
Thompson added, “I am both honored and humbled by the opportunity to be a shareholder for Kennedy Berkley which has long established itself as a leader in the legal community.

Thompson earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Kansas State University, in 2003. He then received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2007 and is licensed to practice law in Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri, pending.
