Salina Society of Human Resources Management Features Larry Michel Presentation

Larry Michel, who leads the firm's employment law practice group, delivered a presentation on the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act of 2008 ("GINA") to the Salina Society of Human Resources Management, January 21st.  In attendance were numerous professionals, including human resource managers and local and regional employers.

In the presentation, Larry provided a general overview of GINA, which governs genetic discrimination in the health insurance and employment contexts.  Larry explained GINA's legal implications on employers and insurers, and explained certain procedures that can be taken to ensure compliance with the new law.

Larry's practice is focused on employment, insurance and personal injury law.  Larry regularly advises both employees and employers in matters involving the employment relationship.  Larry has participated extensively as an organizer and speaker at numerous employment-related seminars.
