Heather R. Fletcher, DUI/Defense Attorney

Heather Fletcher is primarily a defense attorney that works for individuals, who have been charged with: misdemeanors class A-C person/nonperson; DUIs; drug cases ranging from possession to distribution; and felonies ranging from low to high level offenses (1-10) excluding capital cases. Heather has also handled several family and juvenile cases including: juvenile offenders; abused children; and protection from abuse & stalking.

At law school, Heather was actively involved in many student organizations including: Non-traditional student association; Women’s Legal Society; and Washburn Student Bar Association. She also participated in an externship at the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office and is a former member of the Kansas Department of Corrections Standards Revision Committee.

Before practicing law she worked at the Russell County Sheriff’s Office, and then for 10 years at Central Kansas Community Corrections beginning as an Intensive Supervision Officer I and ending as the Assistant Director/Intensive Supervision Officer II. There she worked with high risk offenders and supervised convicted felons while on probation.

Heather currently resides in Russell, Kansas where she serves as a board member of the Planning Commission.

Outside the office, Heather and her husband, John, enjoy tending to their rental properties as well as investing and flipping houses.

Heather primarily works in the Hays office.
